Happy Monday my amazing blogger fam, I hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Have you been following along over on the gram with all of the #30DaysofHolidayCheer posts? I hope you are enjoying it so far.

It was officially announced today that the province of Ontario will be going into lockdown on Boxing Day so I am really happy that I was able to complete this project. It’s definitely one of my annual favourites and has helped me get in the festive spirit, more so than I have in a long time.

Today’s post is in partnership with my friends at Woman Within who of course had to be a part of this year’s holiday extravaganza! Thank you to Woman Within for continuing to support Mustangsallytwo, it is greatly appreciated. But as always, all opinions expressed in this post are my own.

This month Woman Within asked me to feature pieces from their Bring Backs section. If you haven’t seen this on the website it is under the Featured page on their website’s home page. What exactly are Bring Backs you might ask? Well they are pieces that the WW customer has asked the brand to bring back in stock because they are so popular.

Of course Woman Within wants to keep their loyal customer base happy so they have no problem bringing back these popular styles that you are looking for year after year and season after season. Often they will also introduce them in new colours and prints to reflect current trends and provide you with some variety.

I think if you are new to the brand it’s also a great way to see what pieces other customers have tried and loved. These pieces often have hundreds if not thousands of customer reviews so you can get a really good sense of fit and quality before you buy.

I decided to choose two looks that are perfect for winter as it has officially arrived today! These will take you through the season in comfort and style. And they are also warm and cozy.

This poncho is a Bring Back piece and unfortunately it’s already sold out in this colour but it is still available in three other colour options. When I first saw this on the website I saw the berry colour paired with all black underneath. But I thought to myself what if I flip the look and wear a rich colour underneath with the black poncho instead?

I think that too often as plus size women we are made to feel like black is the way to go. We have all heard it before – black is slimming, it’s flattering, it makes you look smaller…the list goes on and on. And if you love black and that’s your personal style than you do you I say! But I love colour so I wanted to show you that you don’t have to stick to black.

This is especially true if you are keeping things sleek and monochromatic like I did with these straight leg ponte knit pants and long sleeve crew neck t-shirt. Monochromatic looks have really been having a moment in 2020 and I see it continuing into 2021. And can we talk about this colour? It’s so rich and feels so luxe, it’s a cross between burgundy and raspberry. Another thing I love about Woman Within is that their colours are consistent amongst different product categories, including having the same names. It makes it easy to know that when I am buying separates like this that they will match. I am wearing the 30/32 in the top and the 34 in the pants.

To complete this look I wore my paisley print Comfortview mules from Woman Within, a statement earring and this amazing plaid flannel tote bag that is also from Woman Within. It comes in a set of two, so there is also a smaller size. Woman Within has some fun accessories like these that are always an amazing price so be sure to check them out. I loved this set so much I wore it with both outfits!

This second look is built around a must have trend for 2020, the Fair Isle cardigan. So not only is this sweater a fan favourite amongst the WW customer, it is also on trend and comes in fun colour combos like this navy with pink, purple and grey. Fair Isle definitely reminds me of my childhood and I love the chunky cable knit fabric and button details. It’s perfect for layering. I am wearing the size 34/36 but it runs big so next time I would size down.

Another Bring Back item that I wanted to try is this Soft Knit skirt. I chose navy to continue my monochromatic theme and also because it will be a staple in my wardrobe. I personally find skirts more comfortable than pants so I will wear them in the winter with a pair of chafing shorts or tights. I really like the detail at the waistband on this skirt as it is an elevated version of your traditional elastic waist. The seaming detail gives the skirt a lot of movement but still gives you a great shape. I am wearing the size 30/32.

I couldn’t resist adding a touch of pink to this look to play off the print in the sweater. I probably sound like a broken record but I love non traditional holiday colour combinations like this. This t-shirt is a simple layering piece that has a cute button detail at the sleeve and a shirred neckline. I am wearing the size 30/32. A fun purple fringe earring and pink suede mules were the perfect finishing touches. The shoes are unfortunately sold out but I gave you a link to a navy pair as an alternative.

So how do you think I did with these 2 looks? Can you see why these pieces are customer favourites? Do you have a favourite style you wish they would bring back? Leave me a comment below and let me know! Happy Holidays!!
