Happy Monday my awesome blogger fam, I hope you all had an amazing weekend and enjoyed some safe but fun Halloween tricks and treats. It was so fun to see everyone’s costumes, people certainly got creative!

When asked me to create a holiday look featuring some of my favourite styles I thought a lot about what I really wanted to wear this holiday season and I also focused on pieces that you could dress up or down.

Velour is one of my favourite fabrics to wear during the holidays. There is just something about it that makes me feel like I am wearing something rich and luxurious. And it’s super soft and feels oh so cozy. It also has certainly come along way from what it was like when I was younger. Does anyone else remember it being itchy lol?
So who wants the fun news first? This hoodie and pants are a set! Matching sets have been all the rage this year and it doesn’t look like it is going away anytime soon. And I am here for it!
You all know purple is my weakness so of course that is the colour I chose but it also comes in teal, black, blue, emerald green and burgundy. Rich jewel tones like these are perfect for the holiday season as they instantly elevate any piece.

The pants have a straight leg, pockets and an elastic waist band. But you can’t even tell they are joggers, they look like a dress pant. You could easily swap out the hoodie for a blazer or cardigan if you want a more sophisticated look.

I love a good zip up hoodie and this one does not disappoint. It has kangaroo pockets, elasticized cuffs and a flat waist band so it lays perfectly. And I also love that it is a medium weight, not too heavy but not too light either. I did get a 34/46 in this set because I wanted it to be extra roomy but I could have easily got my normal size 30/32.
I styled this set two different ways so you could see how versatile it is and to show you a look that you could wear now that doesn’t feel festive in the traditional sense. I mean American Thanksgiving has to happen first!

This tunic blouse with its striped intricate print adds a boho feminine vibe and elevates the set for a chic but effortless overall vibe. The colours mix well with the purple velour and provide you with many different options for adding accessories and other colours.

I like that it has 3/4 sleeves and the elastic at the hem so they have a balloon effect. And it’s not too tight. The banded v-neckline is unique and the rounded hem keeps it classic. I am wearing the size 30/32. Keep in mind that this doesn’t have any stretch.

To accessorize this version l decided to bring in gold accents to give it some glam. These boots are definitely made for walking. The croc combined with the gold make such a statement. It’s so hard to find boots with interesting details and finishes in a lower heel so I live that these are only 2 inches and a block. They also come in silver. I do size up to a 9 in all my boots so I have room for socks. My gold coach shoulder bag & a statement earring complete it.
For a more casual and truly festive feel I styled it with this cute long sleeved t-shirt with a gold snowflake print. What I like about this top is that it’s festive but also wintery so you can easily wear it long after the holidays. They are also a really great layering piece. And there are so many cute holiday prints to choose from right now.

For this look I wanted my accessories to be casual but also add that little bit of whimsy. So this time I paired it with my sparkly gold satchel (an older piece from my collection) and these white sneakers with gold trim from Woman Within. A simple metallic ball earring was the final touch. You could also swap out the sneakers for the booties for an extra pop of gold.

I hope this post shows you that dressing for the holidays doesn’t have to be complicated. You also only need to invest in a couple great pieces that can be worn many different ways like this set and you will be all set (no pun intended). And regardless of how you choose to celebrate this year, I hope you do it with style and ease. So tell me below, what is your favourite styling option? Leave me a comment below.
