Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are having a great week! The count down to NYC is on and man do I have a lot to do!
This week on the blog I am going to share a few casual looks. I know you guys want to see them so I am doing my best to bring you more. And for this look I went super comfy casual, this would totally be what I would wear for a Saturday of running errands or hanging at home.
I also just had to share that I finally found the PERFECT legging! I have tried a lot of different brands and nothing has been 100% what I was looking for till now.
These are the “Life-Changing Leggings” from one of my fave new brands Kari Lyn. You know that with a name like that I had to give them a try. I mean how could they compete with the many average pairs I had tried before them? But from the minute I took them out of the package I knew that they were a winner.
First off they are made of this ultra soft fabric that I just couldn’t stop touching. It feels great against your skin and at the same time is thick and provides great coverage. I am wearing the 5x.
Second they are designed for us plus size gals with ample room in the thighs and butt but still with a truly tapered calf and ankle. They are the perfect length to wear with any shoe or boot. The stretch factor is amazing but at the same time they hold their shape.
And finally they have the most amazing thick waist band. If you like more support through the tummy area then you have it and if you like the feel of a lower rise than you can just fold the waist band over. I personally love the security I feel with this waistband, I don’t have to worry about them riding down on my butt, they stay where they are supposed to.
I like wearing leggings when I want to be comfortable and I have a lot to do. That means I also choose a top to wear with them that is equally comfortable. In this case I went with this sleeveless button front babydoll from Torrid. Over the course of my self love journey what I am comfortable wearing has definitely evolved. When I first started wearing leggings I wouldn’t have worn this top because I would have thought it wasn’t long enough.
Well thank goodness I got over that because I love this combo. The flirty fullness of this top is perfect against a slim legging. I love that it is actually a super soft knit which can actually be hard to come by these days. And the subdued floral print was a welcome change for me. I am wearing a 4x. I like to go sleeveless but if you get cold you could easily layer this with a lightweight cardi.
To keep the casual vibe going, I added some fun metallic accents with my Pom Pom sneakers from Xehar Curvy and my silver tote from Coach. My tote holds everything I need and the sneakers are cute and comfy and so on trend right now. I then added a simple necklace from my collection to give the look a polished feel.
And how cute is this bracelet from Bull Dog Bracelets? It’s made from Rose Howlite and has Rose Gold Swarovski crystal accents including the crown! I fully admit that I am a princess so it was perfect for me lol. These are made right here in Brampton Ontario but be sure to check out their website. They have so many great options to choose from.
