Happy Wednesday blogger fam! Well it’s been a week since I launched the new website, what do you guys think? I hope you love it as much as I do. It was a whirlwind of a week and I had a blast in LA but I certainly owe you a new post.
Today’s look is from one of my fave brands, Eloquii. They are continuing to make waves in the plus size fashion world with the launch of the Teresa for Eloquii collection from famed designer Teresa Maccapani Missoni and their very first swimsuit collection where all styles were available up to a 28! And if that is not enough they will receive the Retailer of the Year award at FFF week in June.
One of the many things that I love about Eloquii is the fact that they are always coming out with new arrivals. So while this has proven to be dangerous for my wallet I love going to their website and knowing that I will see something new and fresh.
This was certainly the case when I came across this sweetheart neckline fit and flare beauty. I love the bow at the bust that creates a little peek a boo effect when you tie it and the bra friendly straps. However I really wish the straps were adjustable!
The print has a very tropical vibe and it’s mainly cotton blend will keep you cool on those hot summer days. This would be a perfect dress for your next tropical vacation. And of course it has pockets which would be oh so perfect for holding my cruise card!
Overall this dress gave me a retro vibe which you all know I can’t resist. The fit on this dress is generous. I am wearing the 28 but I could have easily sized down. And I think it is perfect for all body types.
When I styled this look I decided to play up the retro vibe and pull from the punch of subtle colours popping out from the blue base of the print.
Now that sandal season is upon us I definitely stick to more feet friendly options and am thankful that my toes are free again. These suede like sandals in this lemon lime colour are by Comfort View from Full Beauty.
They are hands down now my favourite shoe brand. I love the tassel detail that gives them some extra flare. I also really loved the contrast of them with the dress.
Then I decided to add some hits of soft pink with this multi strand beaded necklace from Lane Bryant and my cupcake clutch from Torrid. I got this clutch when I attended the grand opening of the very first Canadian store for Torrid and I had only been blogging for 3 months.
It certainly brought back some great memories. And because I love you so much I found a link to the exact same bag! I loved how the light hit it and it was perfect for my retro vibe. Finally I added this bracelet set from Avenue and a bright pink lip.
Now I feel like I need to find myself a retro diner where I can snuggle into a booth and have a good old fashioned root beer float. I will have to add that to my do list for this summer.
Tell me, how would you rock this dress?
Thanks to Rebecca of Rebecca Northcott Photography for the beautiful photos.
