Happy Thursday everyone, its a super rainy day here so if its rainy where you are too I hope you all stay dry and safe. I am back today with all the details of another look from my Artex spring collection with SexyPlus Clothing.
When we went to the showroom to see the Artex spring collection this jacket immediately grabbed my attention. They make great jackets, dusters and cardis and SexyPlus had a great selection this past fall. So I was thrilled to see that they were offering great pieces like this for spring.
I think it is pretty obvious that I love the print, I mean it is floral after all! And I love a red, black and white colour palette. I have been having a really hard time not buying the San Antonio for myself lol.
But the shape and details of this jacket are what really sold me. I love the fit and flare silhouette that hugs my curves perfectly and enhances my shape. The sleeves are a great length for spring, the oversized collar adds a bit of flare and the one button at the tiniest part of my body couldn’t be placed in a better spot.
The fabric has a great amount of stretch to it and is a good weight for the warmer weather. You can really tell the difference in the quality with a garment like this. The price point on this jacket is $129 Cdn and I believe that for the quality and the unique design of the piece, the price is very reasonable. I am wearing the size 3x which is my standard Artex size.
Being a small boutique, SexyPlus doesn’t have the luxury to provide a vast inventory where they would have coordinating pieces for everything that they have, like this jacket. This is when you just need a little imagination as this piece would be perfect with every day basics that you already have in your wardrobe.
It can easily be paired with black leggings, dress pants, a shift dress or a pencil skirt. Then all you need is a simple camisole underneath. And while the obvious choice is to wear this beauty with basic black I had to challenge that theory and show you an unexpected but fabulous alternative – red!
I literally pulled these Torrid ponte knit ankle pants right out of my closet along with this simple black empire waist tank from Jessica London. I knew that these pants were the perfect shade of red to pick up on the jacket and I loved the look of the clean form fitting silhouette against the shape of the jacket.
I then accessorized the look with black and white. These shoes are one of my new favourite pairs from Full Beauty. Fringe is a must have trend for spring and I love that they have tons of it and a small practical wedge.
The gladiator style is also proving to be a trend that is going to continue over from last spring and summer. The pop of white against the red pants really makes a statement and gives the look a fresh crisp feel.
Then I added this black and white patent bag from JD Williams USA. I am a huge fan of patent leather and the white stripe just makes this bag extra special. Some white and metallic accessories completed the look.
While this look is polished and put together it certainly isn’t boring. Ladies don’t be afraid to experiment when putting looks together. I never thought I would wear coloured pants until last year and now I absolutely love them. And go for those white shoes, you deserve the attention!
Stay tuned to the SexyPlus page as well as mine as this jacket is going to be available in another amazing colour palette soon! And trust me it’s a great one!
