Happy Tuesday blogger fam, I hope your week is off to a great start. Today we are going to talk about the next look in my series with UK Brand JD Williams USA.
I was inspired to choose this look from a style inspiration piece they had on their website about one of the hottest colours for spring – mulberry. Since purple is my favourite colour you know that this is one trend I am happy to see pop up and I will definitely take advantage of it.
This dress is a fantastic maxi style in a jersey stretch fabric. It has a beautiful crochet trim at the waist, which ties at the back. The full flared sleeves and raglan seams create a gorgeous silhouette that is perfect for this pear shaped gal.
The floral print is understated in a neutral colour with pops of orange. I loved the little hint of orange as an unexpected colour combination. This dress totally gives you those boho vibes but is still office appropriate.
I was really impressed with the fit of this dress. I am wearing the size 28 and it was quite generous.
I like a versatile piece and so I decided to pair the dress with this gorgeous velour bomber in the most amazing shade of blush pink. If you want a piece that is on trend, this is certainly it!
I have to admit that I haven’t really been into the bomber trend because I find they tend to hit me at the wrong spot but I really like this one.
The elastic at the waist is super stretchy and the arms actually stay up if you want to give the look some edge. Its a feminine girly piece that can be worn with a piece like this dress but it would also look equally amazing with a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.
I am wearing the size 28 and for a jacket I was happy with the fit. The silver zipper added a great metallic element. It is very light weight so for me it is the perfect layering piece. Combined with the dress I felt it gave the dress a more relaxed weekend casual vibe.
To accessorize this look I added some patent leather accessories in one of my absolute favourite shoes, these wedges. I was so excited to see that they had them in purple. I now have them in black, charcoal and the purple. To me they are a great fitting shoe that gives me some height when I want it. And at $17.99 you can’t beat the price.
I continued the patent trend with this super fun ombre taupe bag from Joanna Hope. It is a great classic style that can be worn everyday with a detachable shoulder strap and ample storage space.
Finally I added some fun accessories. First was this necklace that I got from mintMONGOOSE, a jewelry subscription service. For $12 plus shipping a month, you get 3 high quality pieces of jewelry sent to you.
And the fun part is, it is a total surprise! I loved this necklace with the dried flowers inside and when I took this dress out of the package I knew it was the perfect pairing.
Then I added these bracelets from Boho Betty USA, another great accessory company I came across online. I love how many different brands that I have discovered through Instagram! The combination of the soft pinks and purples in these adjustable bracelets worked perfectly with the look. Be sure to use the link below to get 20% off your order.
So there you have it, another head to toe look that is versatile, trendy and fun! If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you give JD Williams USA a look. They have so many amazing new arrivals that I have my eye on. And stay tuned for my last instalment where I turn the colour meter way up!
