Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope your week has started off great.
This week it is time to celebrate my love of all things Christian Siriano by showcasing the 4 looks I snatched up from his fall collection for Lane Bryant.
You may recall how much I loved his spring collection from Lane Bryant which was his first collaboration with one of my fave brands. Naturally I was over the moon when he decided to do it again for fall and I was not disappointed at all.
And if I could love a designer even more, it definitely happened when I saw that he used plus size models at his Spring 2017 runway show at NYFW. To see plus size models that I see regularly representing the brands that I shop rocking his gorgeous runway collection was something I will never forget.
So as the bar continues to be raised for what we as plus size women can have and WANT in terms of designer cutting edge fashion, I am going to keep the posts short this week and focus on some amazing pictures of pieces that make me want to do my happy dance all night long.
This look features his Jacquard Jacket. This jacket is a kimono like style that is all about the details. From the black and white floral pattern to the gold zipper edging to the cut out detail on the sleeve to the tie that is anchored in place with a proper belt loop, careful thought went into this piece.
And of course you can’t forget the pink lining! Or the fact that it is entirely lined in this fabulous pink which speaks to the quality of the piece. I am wearing the size 26/28 and I was very happy with the fit. I also loved the length, not too long for this pear shaped gal.
So if getting this beautiful jacket wasn’t enough, the stars aligned when I got to shoot and style this gorgeous pleated chiffon maxi skirt from Society+. The colour matched the lining perfectly. Like the other custom pieces that Society+ has created, this piece has the same great quality and fit. The colour, cut and fabric are beautiful. And the sizing is consistent, I am wearing the size 26/28. Just keep in mind that this does not have an elastic waist so there won’t be any stretch.
To accessorize this look I added this clutch from Simply Be USA that has quickly become a favourite in my closet the last few months. I bought it for a specific look but I can’t believe how many outfits I have ended up pairing it with. I loved the contrast of the print with the jacket and skirt.
Finally I added some simple gold and black accessories from Lane Bryant. These pieces tied in perfectly with the zipper trim on the jacket. And since the jacket and skirt make a powerful statement on their own they were just the right touch.
