Happy Friday everyone, I hope you had an amazing week! And even better, the weekend is almost here 🙂
Today’s post features this amazing dress from the most recent Torrid Insider collection. This is the 2nd collection from the new limited edition Torrid Insider concept. It has a gorgeous mix of boho, moto, lace and leather pieces with a key focus on the details.
I loved the pieces I bought from the first Insider collection and I was also immediately drawn to the more romantic feminine pieces in this collection. And this dress was hands down my favourite.
Which honestly is a total shocker because I am not a huge fan of white dresses or the off the shoulder look but it spoke to my romantic soul.
I called this post Santorini because I completely imagine myself wearing this on a trip to Greece and I have always wanted to visit this island.
The dress has so many great qualities – it is a nice shade of ivory, the material is a lightweight gauze that is perfect for hot weather and it has absolutely stunning hand embroidered details in the bust and sleeve.
In addition I love the empire waist and the maxi skirt length with a slit in the middle.
The little details are also great and they include a nice full coverage lining so that you can’t see through the dress, a fake button placket on the skirt of the dress so you don’t have to worry about buttons popping open and there is an interior elastic around the shoulder to keep it from slipping.
This dress definitely has a boho feel to it but when I styled it I wanted to take it more towards the goddess vibe that I was getting from the dress. And that is more true to my sense of style.
I am wearing the 4x in this dress and I found it fits true to size. Now I know all us busty gals struggle with buttons gaping but this dress is pretty roomy and I didn’t have much of an issue.
I liked adding the richness of some gold metallic accents. These gladiator sandals are from Lane Bryant. I love the multi dimensional colour of them and the fact that they only have a tiny wedge heel, I can actually walk in them!
I then added this statement bracelet, also from Lane Bryant and a gold beaded head band from Torrid for a little boho glam.
Of course I am known for wearing a statement necklace and this was certainly no different. With this piece I wanted to add a small pop of colour with the blue green.
This necklace is from Francesca’s, a really cute boutique I came across recently that carries a fun assortment of just about everything – clothes, shoes, accessories, purses, home décor and gifts. The clothes are straight sizes but I found the jewelry sizing to be generous.
Well I am ready to head out on an Greek adventure, I just need my babe to take me!
Absolutely stunning photography by Robert of Robert Skuja Photography. Thank you!
