Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are enjoying your week.
Today I am going to highlight another look from one of my favourite Canadian brands, Point Zero Curvy. This time though, it is an office look and not a casual one.
This is one of the things that I like about this brand, the versatility of the pieces they carry. There are many that can easily transition between work and play. This allows you to get more bang for your buck and more outfit possibilities.
When I chose this particular look, I wanted to play with different fabrics and the idea of combining very feminine pieces with edgier pieces.
I am wearing the Faux Leather Skirt with Zip Detail, Marble Knit Top with Crochet Detail and the Floral Printed Button Down Cardigan, all in a size 3x.
This was the first time that I tried a skirt from this brand and I have to admit that I was impressed with the generous fit of this tailored pencil skirt. I generally don’t like pieces that are above the knee but the asymmetrical hem helped with coverage and I paired it with an opaque tight to make it comfortable for me. I love the mix of the ponte knit and faux leather and the zipper is a great touch of interest and detail.
I am absolutely in love with the knit top. The soft shade of mauve combined with the lightweight fabric, cap sleeve and beautiful lace detail at the sides are simply irresistible.
I would easily through this on for a weekend look with a black pair of jeans. And with the colour and weight, this piece can be worn for several seasons.
I topped it off with this cardigan which immediately spoke to me because of the soft floral pattern in shades of purple. I really like the combination of a soft knit for the back and sleeves with the chiffon front. I also love the 3/4 length of the sleeves.
So how did I want to accessorize this look? I decided I also wanted my accessories to be a mix of soft and hard elements. I started off with these fabulous purple suede heels from at Simply Be USA. Now we all know that I struggle with heels but I am trying to venture out a little more. I was impressed with Simply Be’s selection of heels not only in wide widths but extra wide widths. They also carry various heights and have great colour options. I ordered the extra wide because I wasn’t sure but I could have gotten the wide, I found the fit to be generous.
I then added what has become one of my favourite necklaces, this gorgeous statement piece from Society + . It has such an unexpected colour combination with the black, pink and green and it really played off this top and cardigan. And I mean, can you believe this gorgeous photo?
Finally, I kept my bag simple and went with my metallic pewter Coach one that is a tried and true member of my collection.
So I am ready for another killer day at the office. This is very timely considering I am in my peak season right now. I can’t wait till March 31st peeps!
