Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry you didn’t get a post yesterday but it was a crazy day of shopping across the border for this gal and I was exhausted when I got home.
This look from my Lane Bryant haul features a dress that I would put on my easy breezy list. What is my easy breezy list you may ask? It is the items in my closet that are to easy to choose when I am in a hurry, can’t decide what to wear or feeling blah. I know that they look great, are comfortable for all day wear and appropriate for many different settings.
This dress hits on two of falls top trends, pleating/crinkles and ombre. All over pleating/crinkling has been very popular and provides a sense of femininity to a piece. It’s great for adding a little volume and masking any lumps or bumps you might be self conscious about without too much bulk.
I have always been a fan of ombre because it provides a unique perspective on the use of colour and with all the different shades in one look, it’s fun to accessorize.
I love this dress because of it’s practical and flattering elements: a V neck, a lightweight mesh fabric with full lining, wide straps so you can wear a regular bra, an elastic defined waist and a midi length.
I actually found that this dress ran big. I originally ordered the size 28 but it was to big and I reordered the size 26 which is what I am wearing. I probably could have sized down to the 24 if I really wanted to.
I wanted to play with the shades of pink in the dress so I added this blush coloured sparkly bolero with puff sleeves from Torrid. I bought this last year during the holidays and I just thought it was a fun piece.
I think I may even wear it to the office this December. Who says an office can’t use a little sparkle? I am wearing a 4x.
When accessorizing this look I wanted to add a belt to help define my waist so I chose this gold one by Lane Bryant. I am wearing a size 26/28, I do find that Lane Bryant belts tend to run on the small size.
I then added a rose gold statement necklace to tie in with the sparkle in the bolero, my rose gold flats from LB and my new blush bow clutch from Aldo Accessories.
Love this dress? You still have time to take advantage of LB’s Black Friday sale. This dress is on sale for $34.99!
So there is one more post in my Lane Bryant Haul coming tomorrow. And let me tell you it is a goody…stay tuned….
