Happy Wednesday everyone!
This post is the first in a series of looks highlighting my October haul from Lane Bryant.
A while back, I posted a picture of all my shopping bags on Instagram and I promised I would do a haul look book. It might have taken me awhile but the good news is now much of what I got will be on sale for Black Friday so let’s get a woo hoo!
A lot of my wardrobe comes from Lane Bryant and in particular, my work attire.
I always seem to find pieces I like that are professional yet fun. And they are an excellent source for the basics like dress pants, camis, blouses, cardigans etc.
This look represents what I would wear on a typical work day. It features a black ponte midi skirt with an embossed check pattern, a red short sleeved blouse that has a neckline with a bow and a simple but versatile long black sweater vest.
I am wearing a size 26/28 in the skirt and vest and a size 28 in the blouse.
All 3 pieces represent key fall trends but still will be classic timeless pieces in my wardrobe. I like this because that means value, these pieces allow me to be fashionable and on trend but will still work with my wardrobe in years to come.
I love the sophistication that the bow adds to an otherwise simple blouse. It brings the eye up to your face.
I also like that the neckline is not too tight despite it. Heads up everyone, you will not being seeing me in a turtleneck! I can’t stand them, they make me feel so constricted!
I think the sweater vest is a great alternative to wearing a jacket to the office. It provides that extra layer of interest without the bulk and it is much easier to mix and match.
I decided to accessorize this look with a larger gold earring with a little sparkle and a couple of fun bracelets to liven things up.
I absolutely love this bracelet with the lips on it from Torrid. That little bit of whimsy brightens my day when I look down and see it.
I also picked up this fun set of stackable rings from Lane Bryant. I chose to wear them on 2 fingers. Lane Bryant has great fashion ring options that come up to size 11! This is great because I have a hard time finding ones that fit my fingers.
I added my gold flats that are also from Lane Bryant and my most coveted Coach purchase from 2014 – my floral print satchel.
To say I love this purse is an understatement!
So I’m off to the office but stay tuned, another segment in this series, drops tomorrow!
A very special thank you to Stefanie Augusteijn of the blog SassyPlus for taking this amazing pictures. Sorry I included so many, I loved them all so much I just had to share.
