Perfectly Me

Happy Monday my blogger fam!  For all my fellow Canadians I hope you are enjoying the long weekend!  I know I am definitely grateful for the break and I have so much to do to get ready for Saturday’s Closet sale, “Consign Your Curves”, the largest plus size closet sale in Canada.

But I also thought I would start the week off with a new post featuring another piece from my spring Artex collection that I collaborated on with SexyPlus Clothing.  I have really enjoyed showcasing this collection and shining a light on such a great Canadian brand that makes true to size and in fact generously sized quality plus size clothing right here in Canada.

And I am grateful that Stefanie takes the time to source these options for her customers.  Unless you are a major retailer who manufactures their own line I have found that it is very challenging for small boutiques like SexyPlus to find options that are true plus sizing, good quality, fashion forward and available above a 3x.  But Stefanie is always on the look out so thank you!

So the piece de resistance in this all white look and probably the entire spring Artex collection is this stunning cardi better known as the “Lisa Luxury Cardi”.  That’s right, you know if a piece was named after me that it is pretty darn special!

Overpieces like this cardi are a great staple for your wardrobe because they can be worn from season to season and can be dressed up or down.  They are also perfect for those of you who feel more comfortable with some arm coverage.  When we went to choose the pieces for the spring collection both Stef and I were immediately drawn to this one, we knew it was extra special.

And that’s because it’s all about the details.  The crochet knit is beautifully unique with its texture and silver thread woven through it.  The mesh panel insert at the back adds movement and flow and visual interest. The cut is very flattering and hugs your curves and accentuates your shape.  And the bow?  Just a little extra statement detail that is perfectly placed.

As with all the pieces from the spring collection I am wearing the size 22/24 or 3x and I am very happy with the fit on this particular piece.  The arms are generous so I didn’t have any upper arm issues and the fabric is breathable and soft to the touch.

When I styled this cardi I knew I wanted to stick to an all white look and I wanted it to be the star of the show.  So I added this simple tank midi bodycon dress from Rebdolls.  This is a great basic to have in your wardrobe and I love that they carry up to a 5x.  The midi length worked well with the length of the cardi.  If bodycon isn’t your thing but you wanted to wear white, Stef has some other cute options in the store that would also look great with this.

I also wanted the look to have a little bit of fun and edge so I chose my fringe wedge sandals which are on trend but also super comfy.  They are a little unexpected and I love that.  Finally I added these statement earrings that are also from SexyPlus.  A touch of sparkle and glam played off the metallic silver thread perfectly.

This is a really versatile look that would be perfect for those upcoming special occasions or a romantic night out.  I also think it would be a great alternative if you are looking for a casual wedding look or something to elope in.  And let’s not forget about all those upcoming white parties!

So cute, white makes you look so awesome. Don’t know if it is the olor white or if the dress is a little little bit tight, but your curves are accentuated that perfet in this outfit.
