Sequins, Sequins & Sequins – My Eloquii 5×5 Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start!

Today we have a very special post on the blog as I finally share a project I have been working on for the last little while – the Eloquii 5×5 Challenge.  For those of you who don’t already know I am a huge fan of  Eloquii.  I feel that they are a brand that really listens to their customers and is paving the way for innovation in the fashion industry as they continuously up the ante with the different choices and selections that they offer their customers.  First they made the bold move to expand their size range to a 26/28, then they added a petite capsule collection and recently they just launched the viola fit for us pears shaped gals.  But it was meeting them in person that really won me over.

When I was in NYC for Full Figured Fashion Week and The Curvy Con in June I contacted them to see if we could visit their showroom and I was pleasantly surprised when they welcomed us with open arms.  Meeting Jodi Arnold, Creative Director was absolutely amazing.  Her passion for what she does was clear and she took the time to ask us so many questions and really listened to what we had to say.  Overall the entire team was warm and friendly and we even got to watch the beautiful Hunter McGrady show us how to rock it out in front of the camera.  Special thanks to Alex for being our “hostess with the mostest”.

So when Eloquii gave me the opportunity to take part in their 5×5 Challenge of course I couldn’t say no!  They asked me to style this silver sequin jacket five different ways and as a huge lover of all things sparkle, I was excited to show how versatile a piece like this really is.  You can confidently make an investment in a jacket like this to be on trend and then incorporate other pieces from your wardrobe to make it your own.

It’s hard to believe the holiday season is already upon us. I feel like just yesterday it was the end of summer! But I’m not complaining, this is by far my favourite time of the year. Spending time with family and friends, finding the perfect gift for everyone on my list (with over-the-top gift wrapping of course), putting in quality time in the kitchen, and decorating the house all brings warmth and joy to my heart.

In addition to all these wonderful things? Holiday parties and festivities that give us an excuse to get glammed up- and let me tell you, this is THE year to embrace your inner diva. Designers have turned up the heat in terms of sparkle and glitz, providing us with options full of sequins beading, metallics, lace, and rich velvets.  And this jacket is no exception!

So I have given you a sneak peek of a couple of the ways I styled this jacket here but for all the details on my choices and to see the remaining looks, head on over to Eloquii’s Style and Substance now (you might just find my signature colour and pattern, wink wink).
